Aaron Osmond was born and raised in Provo, Utah. He is oldest grandchild of the famous Osmond Family of Utah. He served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rome, Italy and received a B.S. in Business management from the University of Phoenix. He and his wife Nancy are the proud parents of 5 children and live in South Jordan, Utah.
Aaron is currently serving as the Vice President and General Manager of the Certiport division of Pearson VUE where he leads the company’s global IT certification product offering for college and career entrants. Aaron has worked at Certiport since March of 2012. His responsibilities include leadership of the $70 million global business with 187 employees and 80+ strategic partners in over 50 countries around the world.
From 1991 until 2007, Aaron served in key leadership roles in the IT Education industry such as Director of Product Management, Director of Product Development, and Vice President of Training Services at companies such as WordPerfect, Novell, and Microsoft. In 2007 Aaron was recruited to the role of CEO of Wealth Rock, a large financial education company based in Utah where he served until 2012 when he was recruited to join Certiport.
From March 2011 until December 2015, Aaron served as a Utah State Senator representing District 10 (South Jordan, Herriman, and West Jordan). He served on the Public Education Appropriations Committees, the Higher Education Appropriations Committee, and served as Chair of the Public Education Standing Committee and then as chair of the Economic Development & Workforce Committee during his term.
Aaron is a passionate advocate of technical education for students in the public education and higher education systems of the state of Utah and around the world.
Dale M. Cox was born, raised, and educated in Salt Lake County, married to Jann and they have two sons Dallas and Trace.
As a 40 year labor leader Dale Cox began his career working in the field as a union welder mechanic, before joining the Operating Engineer’s staff as a Business Agent, Assistant District Rep, District Rep, and Legislative Coordinator for the State of Utah. Dale has committed himself and worked passionately for the rights of working men and women. In 2012 Dale Cox began his presidency with the UTAH AFL-CIO with already thousands of hours experience with the Utah State Legislature reaching across the isles to ensure that the rights of Utah Working Families in be heard.

I have a BS in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University (1986) and an MBA from Kutztown University (1995). Beginning in 1987 I was employed by Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) in Carlisle, PA in various engineering and plant management positions. I was active in the community including serving on the Carlisle United Way board as well as coaching and being a board member for South Middleton Youth Baseball.
In 2006 I accepted a transfer to move to Utah to manage two greenfield plants. Summer of 2017 will mark my 30-year anniversary with CCM. Beginning in 2009 I joined the TATC board. I was the lead for the finance committee and on the executive committee. My term expired in July 1, 2017. I have been on the UCAT board of trustees since mid-2106. I have recently been confirmed to serve until 2021.
I truly enjoyed my time with the TATC and look forward to my future with UTEC. I am a strong believer in life-long learning and finding opportunities for individuals who may not fit the traditional higher education model. I have seen first-hand the benefit of our technical colleges. Speaking as a plant manager, we have hired several maintenance technicians from TATC. They have excelled in our work environment and this is a very difficult skill set to find. Further, we have sent numerous employees to the TATC for a wide range of training.
In my spare time, I enjoy skiing, Utah’s beautiful outdoors, reading and watching sports on TV – especially baseball. My wife, Julie, and I have been married for 26 years. We have two sons (22 and 20) and our dog – Ginger.
Stephen W. Wade was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended the University of Utah and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. Following graduation he did post graduate work in Business. While attending the University he became a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He also served two years as an LDS missionary in Australia.
Stephen married Marcia Chalk of Mesa, Arizona. They have four sons, one daughter, and twenty grandchildren. Their family lived many years in Salt Lake City but in1993 St. George became their home.
Stephen has been a new car automobile dealer since 1973. In 1981 he was elected President of the Utah Automobile Dealers Association and served as Utah’s representative for the National Automobile Dealers Association . In 2011 he was elected the National Chairman, representing America’s new car and truck dealers. In January 2013 he was inducted into the Utah Automobile Dealers Hall of Fame.
He has owned multiple franchises in Utah and California and has served on numerous factory committees, boards. Currently, his franchises include Toyota, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Nissan, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Ram, Honda, Mazda and Mercedes Benz, Sprinter in Utah.
While living in Salt Lake City, Stephen served as chairman of the American Cancer Society for Salt Lake County and the state of Utah. He chaired special events of Utah’s Federation for Drug Free Youth and was an Alumni Board member for the University of Utah.
Active in the St. George community, he served eleven years as a trustee of Dixie State College, (now known as Dixie State University); seven of those years as its Chairman. In 2007 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities. Stephen received an Outstanding Businessman Award from the St. George Chamber of Commerce. He served on the Select Health Board of Trustees, from 2006 to 2012. In 2014 he was voted one of Southern Utah’s most influential men. In 2016 was selected as a “Significant Sig” from Sigma Chi Fraternity. Currently he is serving as trustee and state representative for Dixie Applied Technology College.
Susan Johnson is the President of Futura Industries Corporation, a Clearfield, Utah based aluminum extrusion and fabrication business. Prior to joining Futura, Ms. Johnson served as President and Chief Operation Officer of Daw Technologies and President of Savage Manufacturing Corporation. A native of El Paso, Texas, Ms. Johnson received a Bachelor of Sciences degree in engineering from the California Polytechnic State University and has done Graduate Studies at the University of Santa Clara and University California, Irvine.
